Making the web better & faster at SiteGround

SiteGround empowers people to build better, faster, and safer websites by constantly improving managed web hosting services since 2004. We have always been dedicated to giving clients a seamless and faster WordPress hosting experience. From a simple WordPress launch or migration to management, our tools make it all easier.

Naturally, our efforts to offer a safe and superfast service never stop. Recently we launched a new MySQL setup on our servers – an innovative solution that optimizes database queries. So, if your site handles heavy MySQL queries – worry not, because our new setup allows a much higher number of parallel requests to be processed. Even our Sys Admins still don’t believe it, but we saw a drop in slow queries between 10 and 20 times since the launch.

We haven’t stopped there because we want our clients to have superfast websites. We recently deployed and enabled by default the next-generation compression algorithm – Brotli on our Site Tools servers. Brotli is developed by Google as a successor to the popular gzip method. As a result, websites hosted with us could get up to 15-20% speed gains from using it.

Knowing that each small improvement like those transforms the web into a little better, safer, and faster place for over 2.6 million domain owners using our services keeps us motivated.

Giving Back

Our commitment to open-source has been consistently growing throughout the years and extends to supporting a huge number of events, WordCamps, meetups and WordPress experts to keep sharing their knowledge. But what we consider equally important is our personal involvement. Our team works on WordPress core and plugins and is active on the WP.org security, community, marketing, and hosting teams. Staying involved and giving back is our way to nurture a better tomorrow.
