Můj workshop je určen pro úplné WordPress začátečníky. WordPressu se věnuji již 6. rokem a mezi mé projekty patří například obchod s WordPress šablonami Themes4all.com nebo internetový magazín s WordPress návody a tipy WPlama.cz.
Začínat budeme s čistou instalací WordPressu a nejprve se zaměříme na základní nastavení webu. Poté se podíváme jak nastavit a zabezpečit WordPress a ukážeme si práci s populárními pluginy. Detailněji se podíváme například na optimalizaci pro vyhledávače, rozesílání newsletteru a propojení WordPressu a sociálních sítí. Také doporučím několik pluginů vhodných pro české internetové prostředí a ukážu jak napojit analytické služby třetích stran.

We will show how to connect the different sites to each other and have a user friendly interface to work between different languages. We’re going to do a short demo of the front-end and back-end of our sites, edit existing posts (including its translation) and create new posts quickly in different languages. Additionally we are showing and explaining the advantages of this multilingual solution based on multisite.

During this session, each participant can participate to build a fully working multisite with different languages or they can just watch how we build a multisite with different on the wall. We will start with a clean WordPress install. After, or even during the demo we’re going to answer all kinds of questions, be it from a user or a developer perspective.

Our focus will be highlighting the easiness to create multisite and the great advantage of our solution comparing to other existing solutions.

Martin pracuje v českém Microsoftu jako technický evangelista a jeho denním chlebem je pomáhat vývojářům (jednotlivcům, startupům i velkým firmám), aby příliš netápali při práci s technologiemi Microsoftu a aby měli přehled o tom, co softwarový gigant kuchtí. Píše, školí, přednáší a trochu programuje – hlavně na platformách Azure, Office 365 a Windows.
Přednášky a školení mají tradiční startovací bod – čistou instalaci WordPressu. Tento workshop vás provede tím, jak si ji vytvořit v Microsoft Azure, vysvětlí, pro které situace je to vůbec vhodné, a také odhalí, že platforma od Microsoftu nemusí být nutně určena pouze pro microsoftí produkty. Mimo to získají všichni účastníci možnost vyzkoušet Azure na měsíc zdarma.
